My name is Devyn Glass, I am a psychology PhD student working in the Children and Technology Lab (ChaT Lab) at the University of Sussex, in the UK.
I am investigating ways that multi-user technology can support collaboration and social motor synchrony in minimally verbal children with autism.
Currently, I am in the midst of my first study, where I am conducting a pilot study investigating how different configurations of tablets support social motor synchrony. I am interested in unpicking the relationship between synchrony and collaboration.
In future, I hope that this will inform the development of classroom based technologies to support collaboration in special education.
I intend to blog my way through my research, writing about my own experiences as a PhD student, and weighing in on some of the topics in developmental psychology.
